Actually there's several - as any of the students I've taught over the years can tell you, I'm not your run of the millcopywriting mentor. But you're not here to hear my life story, are you? You're here for some help!

So let's go down to business... copywriting lessons

Three tips that will take you to top-level copywriting mucheasier than your more experienced competitors:

Number One: Have your partner else read your sales copy out loud. It's that simple.

-- Print two copies of your copy.
-- Give one to your customer.
-- Sit across from them with a pencil and your copy in hand.
-- Let them read while you listen - WITHOUT stopping them.
-- If they stumble - or if they get stuck or don't get something - you have a problem.


First, you simply mark the issue areas as they continue speaking. Afterward, you go back through and fix your letter now that you know where the problem points are. This is one of the simplest 3 copywriting tips to follow and sure way to take your copy up a level or two within 10 minutes!

It's like having a writing course giving you a quick critique for free.

Number Two: Writethe best letters out by hand.

Don't type them! Get a relaxed pen and a yellow legal pad. Print the winner writing and begin typing it out longhand.

Just be sure it was a winner that pulled (or is pulling) in great reaction.

This will impress what it's like to write premium copywriting. You get a sense of the flow - concepts - positioning of elements - headlines - calls to action - offers - perceived value - and much more! It's one of the most straightforward copywriting tips there is, and yet so few copywriters bother to try this one!


As a copywriting class, this is probably the straight-forward - but most powerful - secrets I can share with you!

Number Three: If possible BE the target crowd.

In my years of experience as a copywriting guy, I've found that "audience to crowd" is the strongest copy you can write.

It's copy that really feels personal, as if you're really talking "with" them -- and that's because you're one of them yourself!

Brian Keith Voiles is a million dollar copywriter who I now have a joint venture with.

During an Intimate Interview we once did, he told me he'll mail over 4 million pieces of a particular piece of writingevery year possibly for the rest of his life!

He told me, "But you know Shaune, I CHEATED... do you want to know my secret?"

How could a copywriting coach worth his salt turn down such an opportunity? So I said, "Of course, Brian..."

He replied, "I was the target person for the product."


When talking target audience to target audience - you'll also find you don't have to explain as much because you KNOW they understand. You begin to say something of importance in 1 sentence - versus 4 or 5 like most copywriters do.

By doing this your market won't say, "You're just trying to sell me something. You're not one of us!"


There's a key problem though: usually you won't be a part of the target audience. And even the greatest copywriting program in the world can't tell you how to fake it!

However, you can quickly get close to people who ARE in the target audience by conducting Intimate Interviews with them.
